Tools / Merge PDF
Merge PDF
Join several PDFs into one, in the order you choose.
- No upload endpoint exists
- No network code in any engine
- Every tool driven in a browser each release
Choose two or more PDFs
or drop them here
How it works
- Add two or more PDFs.
- Drag them into the order you want them joined.
- Merge, then download the single file.
When the browser is not enough
scanmydocz for Android
Live edge detection through the camera, text recognition that makes the PDF searchable, a signature you can place, and batch capture. All of it on the phone.
In closed testing. There is no public Play link yet, so there is no button here yet.
scanmydocz Pro
Pro is the paid tier in the Android app. It cannot be bought on the web yet, because checkout is not connected, and we would rather say that than show you a price you cannot pay.
Questions
Do my files get uploaded?
No. The files are joined in this page, in your browser. There is no upload step, and there is no server here that could receive one. Open your browser's network tab and merge something if you want to check.
Does merging make the text stop being selectable?
No. The pages are copied across as they are, so text stays text, links keep working and nothing is re-compressed. That is the difference between merging and printing everything into a new PDF, and it is why this is safe to do to a contract.
Is there a file size limit?
None is imposed. Every file is held in memory while it is joined, and so is the result, so the practical ceiling is what your device can hold at once. A handful of ordinary documents is nothing; fifty large scans will make a tab struggle.
Can I merge a password-protected PDF?
Not directly, and it is refused rather than worked around. Writing its pages into a new file would quietly strip the protection somebody chose to put on it. Open it with its password, save an unprotected copy, then merge that.
What about bookmarks and form fields?
Neither survives, and that is worth knowing before you rely on it. Bookmarks and the document outline belong to a document rather than to its pages, so copying pages leaves them behind. Form fields stop being fillable, though anything already filled in stays visible as page content.
Can I put the files in a different order?
Yes. Drag them into any order before you merge, and drop any you change your mind about.
Does it work without a connection?
Opening the page needs one, and so does the first merge, because that is when this site hands over the PDF writer. The joining itself uses no network, and your files are never sent anywhere either way.
