Cropping without losing anything
Cropping is the gentlest edit a PDF allows: nothing on the page is redrawn, only the window onto it changes.
Trim scans by 5 or 10 mm
A flatbed or phone scan often carries a grey or dark border from the scanner lid or the table. Ten millimetres from every edge removes it on most A4 scans without touching the text.
Use one edge for headers and footers
Slide exports and printed web pages often carry a strip across the top. Trim the top edge alone and the rest of the page stays put.
Check a page with text near the edge
Every page is trimmed by the same amount. Open the result and look at a page whose text runs close to the edge, because a trim that suits the margins can clip a page number or a footer.
Cropping does not shrink the file
The file keeps everything outside the crop box, so a cropped PDF is about the same size as the original. If size matters, compress it as a separate step.
Where this is the wrong tool. Cropping hides what is outside the new edges; it does not remove it. The trimmed strip stays in the file and anyone can restore it by resetting the crop box, so never crop to hide a name, an address or a number. Redact PDF is the tool that actually removes text.

Questions
Does cropping delete what I cut off?
No. Cropping sets the visible area of each page. The trimmed strip is still in the file and anyone can bring it back, so never crop to hide a name or a number. Use Redact PDF for that.
Can I crop just one page?
Not in this tool: it trims every page by the same amount, which is what scans and exports need. To treat one page differently, take it out first with Split PDF.
What happens to a very small page?
If the trim would leave less than half an inch, that page is left as it was, and the result tells you how many pages were skipped.
Does it lower the quality?
No. Nothing is redrawn or recompressed; only the crop box changes, so text stays sharp and selectable.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The pages are cropped in your browser.
