scanmydocz Nothing leaves this browser

About scanmydocz

scanmydocz is a set of 13 document tools that run inside your browser. It is built by scanmydocz, a software company founded in 2026 by Abdullah Saleem and registered in . This page is who we are and why the tools work the way they do.

Why the tools run in your browser

The paper people scan is the most sensitive paper they own: identity cards, contracts, bank letters, medical results. Nearly every free tool for this asks you to upload that document to a server, and then makes a promise about deleting it afterwards. The promise may well be kept. The trouble is that you cannot check it and they cannot prove it, and a whole industry of free PDF sites runs on exactly that blind spot.

We did not want to make a promise nobody can test, so we made a different one. Your document never leaves your browser. The file is opened by the page you are looking at, processed in your device's own memory, and written straight back to your downloads folder. There is no upload endpoint on this site at all, the server refuses any request that carries a body, and the build that publishes these pages refuses to complete if any tool's code gains a way of sending a file. That is a claim you can verify yourself in about ten seconds with your browser's network tab, and how it works sets out the whole mechanism, down to the algorithm that finds a page's corners.

What that choice costs

Being honest about a design means naming its costs. Because nothing runs on a server, the heavy work happens on your device: a very large PDF can run an old phone's browser out of memory, and the practical file size ceiling is whatever your hardware can hold, not a generous number we print. The one feature that genuinely needs more than a browser, text recognition that makes a scan searchable, is not on this site at all. It is in the Android app, and the pages here say so plainly instead of implying otherwise.

Who makes it

scanmydocz is a small company, and this site is one person's work reviewed by machinery rather than a large team's work reviewed by nobody. Besides scanmydocz, scanmydocz builds Anseya, an AI phone receptionist that always discloses it is an AI; OpsCores, workforce compliance software; and a set of developer tools. All of it is listed at deplyra.com.

The rule everything here is written under

scanmydocz's engineering principle is honest software: state plainly what a tool can and cannot do, keep data on the user's device wherever possible, and never fake a result. On this site that principle is not a value statement, it is machinery. Every page is generated by a build that checks each sentence against what the code actually does, and refuses to publish a capability that does not exist, a rating with no reviews behind it, or the privacy sentence on a page that has not earned it. When a guide here tells you a scanmydocz tool is the wrong choice for your job, that is the system working as intended.
